My yoga journey

Yoga has been a meaningful part of my life
for the past 17 years
for the past 17 years
After my first yoga class I was hooked – I loved the way it made me feel, giving me a few moments to just “be” with myself and leave the stress and worries of my life behind. No matter where I was in the world or what I was pursuing at that time, yoga has always been there for me, helping me to navigate through it all.
My practice has constantly been evolving over the years, shifting and morphing into exactly what I needed during each phase of my life. Eventually I made the leap and enrolled in a yoga teacher training course – looking to further my awareness about my practice and explore why I was always drawn this.
My motherhood journey
In 2019 I became a mother
I had prepared myself to a T for my birthing day, practicing yoga throughout my pregnancy but I had done little to prepare myself for the changes and challenges that were about to take place afterwards. Those first few weeks as a new mom I was caught up in a flurry of feedings, diapers, baths and tears (both baby’s and mine).
It was a time of transformation, insecurity, and stress, but at the same time I was filled with pure joy and a love I’d never felt before! I was all over the place both physically and mentally and I had forgotten about myself, only focusing on the needs of my baby. After a couple of months I realized it was time for me to go back to my practice. I needed yoga and I needed it fast so I joined a Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training to learn how I could use yoga to help me transition into motherhood.

How yoga helped me in motherhood

Yoga transformed me as a person and:
- Gave me easy, accessible tools to take care of myself and my needs
which I had put on the back burning to take care of my child. - It helped to strengthened and heal my body from the inside out.
- It helped to lower my anxiety.
- It kept me calm throughout the sleepless nights.
- It has helped me to find and trust in my motherly intuition.
- I am gaining confidence in who I am and who I am becoming.
- Now I want to share my experience and knowledge with you; no matter where you are on your motherhood journey or whether you have a yoga practice or not, I promise, yoga is for you!
Let me help you find your unique way to navigate through this journey of self-discovery through motherhood and beyond.
